Terms of Service
Effective date: May 12, 2026
Service overview
repo.rip generates a stylized "death certificate" for public GitHub repositories. The service processes the GitHub URL you submit, fetches public repository data from GitHub, and builds a certificate and stats view. Generated certificates are stored in Supabase to populate the public Graveyard section.
Your inputs
You are responsible for the GitHub URL you provide. Do not submit private repository links, personal data, or anything you do not have rights to share.
Generated output
Certificates and eulogies are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for entertainment and informational purposes only and should not be relied on as a source of truth.
Acceptable use
- Use the service only for lawful purposes.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or misuse the service.
- Do not submit content that violates the rights of others.
Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers including the GitHub API. If generation services are used, public repository data is processed by those providers to produce the certificate text. Optional sharing opens X (Twitter) in a new window. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as-is and may change or be unavailable at any time without notice.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, repo.rip disclaims all warranties and will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
